The IS Band Rocks Deep Creek Conch Fest

The Island School’s Spring 2010 band, under the pseudonym The Project IS, played a 40 minute set for Deep Creek’s Homecoming celebration this past Saturday night.  Despite only an hour and a half of practice time, the crew managed to put together a performance that got the local crowd talking.  According to one resident, her daughter heard about the “band from America” all the way over in Nassau that same night!  But don’t take my word for it; check out these videos of the action.

This was definitely a first in IS history; hopefully it won’t be the last either.  Enjoy!

These premier videos of Project IS are really a perfect way to sing your way home!! Thanks Justin for taking the time to upload as I am sure there are other things you could be doing with your last day with the kids. But obviously some of us are STILL checking the blog at this late date. Thanks again to all the faculty and staff of IS and CEI for sharing the 100 day sprint with all of our happy, confident and mature children!!
Sandy Brown signing off for probably the last time!

Wow, how did you pull that off in such a short time? Great job, everyone! It must have come easily as a result of all the wonderful experiences you’ve shared. What a thrill to see and hear how well you harmonize. Can’t wait to hear more about your stay at Island School.
