Cacique Update-May 29th, 2010

Caciques- Erin and Ben

This Saturday was the 4.5 mile Super Swim which was the culmination of the swim track training. All of the swimmers finished with amzing times and everyone was extremely proud for the event they trained for all semester. The run track students supported the swimmers on the boats and on shore. After a physically and mentally draining day students went to an event in Waterford (a settlement near Deep Creek). The event raised money for the settlement by selling delicious food. Check in was at 9:30 to prepeare for the half marathon the next day which would start at 5:00.

Some day you will reflect on this experience as one of the most meaningful in your lives. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Hey Nick, Should I set the alarm for 6 am on June 10 so we can run and swim. I’m game if you are! You are all an inspiration-Keep it going and make a difference.

Hey Erin & Ben, As Gina and Sandy did, I congratulate all you swimmers and runners for your great physical accomplishments, and for completing all the remarkable work that you have done this term. I also thank you and your classmates for taking the time to write to us in the midst of all the rigorous activity. Your “Cacique Updates” have been our connection to you, and have helped us to bear your absence all these months.
Enjoy the rest of your time at the IS! XXOOXX
