Back in Washington, DC after a week at The Island School is quite a contrast. It made me really realize how special Eleuthera is to me. All in all, it was an amazing weekend. Reconnecting with the Cape, diving, doing morning exercise and hanging out with Maxey and the Faculty was a great experience. What impressed me the MOST was the STUDENTS. Island School students today are doing much more than I was back in 2002 from running the boats, to raising the bar with their research to challenging themselves to ask tougher questions. Island School has really grown both as an institution and in the quality of students.
Our alumni board had some great meetings where we accomplished a lot and set a long list of changes and achievements we will make in the coming 6 months to improve the programs, resources, and other offerings to our alumni community. We will, in the coming year increase our outreach and work hard to foster greater alumni engagement. Keep your eyes on the lookout new alums!!!
A proud Island School Alumnus,
