For many students, the transition from parents weekend to the normal academic schedule was harder then they may have expected. Seeing your parents at 10 pm Sunday night, going to sleep, and waking up to the stress of the final academic week is something that many are still dealing with. However, yesterday, from 1pm until around 5:45pm we experienced as a community our final community outreach, which was a relaxing and sentimental change of pace. We were able to share the projects we had been working on over the course of the semester, as well as experience an amazing basketball jamboree at Deep Creek Middle School. There was basketball, volleyball, music, food, and laughter. It was a great way to take a break from the hectic schedule, and an easier way to say goodbye to delightful students and faculty of DCMS.
