Caciques: Grace & Peter Q.
Morning exercise was led by Hadley and Erin. We worked out, jumped around, danced and had a great time participating in the Island School version of Zumba for an hour. The music got us pumped up for Legacy Day. Sixteen of the twenty-three students on campus helped dig holes in the rough soil and plant baby palm trees around the bike shed circle. The remaining students split up between building a hexagonal dining table and bike racks. Many students were exahusted and sore from the day’s labor and chose to relax and nap during exploration. We all got dressed up in honor of Olivia’s birthday, Cinco de Mayo, and the open mike as we ate dinner on the kitchen roof deck.
