We began day two with a wonderfully late start- we only got up at 7:30 for an introduction to our daily chores. After breakfast we had our first history lesson entitled “When are we?” where we enlightened each other with the Bahamian facts we collected at home. The highlight of the class was getting to listen to the histories of three Island school faculty, each with their own stories about the islands culture. We also got to see the research projects we’ll be working on for the next three months – all of them look fantastic. We also received our first homework – yay – for human ecology on systems. Overall it was as great day, enough for us to collapse into bed by the end of it.
